What is PCI compliance?

PCI DSS is a set of regulations created by major payment card brands, such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB. This scheme requires organizations to comply with 12 general data security requirements that every merchant needs to follow.

Even though PCI DSS is not part of any law, this is an internationally-used set of regulations which comes with significant penalties and costs for organizations that don’t apply to the requirements.

Do I have to be PCI complaint?

SecurionPay takes the entire PCI burden out of your head thanks to using TOKEN technology, which always keeps your end-user data safe. When you work with SecurionPay, the users’ card data does not even reach your servers.

However, if you do collect users’ card information or plan to do so, you need to become PCI compliant. Depending on how much volume your services process, you can choose a PCI compliance level from 1-3, level 1 being the highest one.

Where can I find the PCI questionnaire?

SecurionPay can provide you with a self-assessment questionnaire, which must be filled out and sent back to us. We will then provide it to the bank as one of the required documents.

In case of this situation, please let us know and we will take care of it directly by contacting the appropriate bank on your behalf. As a result, the money will be transferred back to you.

How can I dispute a chargeback?

The so-called chargeback representment process has been significantly automated by SecurionPay and you can find it in your dashboard. All you need to do is to provide the evidence. In case you win the chargeback dispute, the funds will be returned to your bank account.

What is a friendly fraud?

Friendly fraud occurs when a consumer makes an online purchase with their own credit card and then requests a chargeback from the issuing bank after receiving the goods or services. Still, the cardholder claims that someone else had used the card without permission.

If I use a 3D Secure set up what are the consequences?

3D Secure is an additional security layer and a way to authenticate online transactions. So, it helps you reduce the number of chargebacks and fraud attempts, and builds your company’s credibility as well.

We highly recommend using non-invasive 3D Secure developed by SecurionPay that effectively mitigate the chargeback ratio without hurting your conversion rate.

Can the 3D Secure be turned off?

It’s up to you whether 3D Secure will be used on your website or not.

Do you offer a standalone fraud prevention solution separate from an integrated payment and fraud prevention solution?

SecurionPay provides a set of anti-fraud tools and other solutions, such as non-invasive 3D Secure authentication, blacklisting, and more and it is combined with the SecurionPay payment gateway. It’s not possible to use it as a standalone solution.
